Watford City

Since the hustle and bustle of the oil boom, Watford City has grown from a quiet, rural town in Western North Dakota to a busy, bustling city with steady economic growth and permanent jobs in the region. Population in McKenzie County has now stabilized, and this little city in the heart of the oil patch is home to prosperous businesses sustained by a core group of companies who are dedicated to staying in the area for the long haul.

As Watford City’s seams began to bulge, the area responded with fresh new businesses, schools, recreational facilities, and of course, housing to accommodate the area’s increased population. New infrastructure, such as widened roads and a bypass, now keep oil and gas traffic off of the city’s main roads, and new businesses are thriving in new developments across Watford City.
